Indolent Endeavour

If I were the wind, ever omnipresent,
I would blow myself in your direction.
Disappearing into a whisper, a calm taken for granted,

tranquillity that only the sleeping can experience.
From the night I wandered, found you to catch me.
Discovered desolation and from lonliness grew courage.
Strong, I may be, still in my time of need.
To lay down low beyond the morning sky,
and wilt into the break of day, to live I will defy.
