If I were the wind, ever omnipresent,
I would blow myself in your direction.
Disappearing into a whisper, a calm taken for granted,
tranquillity that only the sleeping can experience.
From the night I wandered, found you to catch me.
Discovered desolation and from lonliness grew courage.
Strong, I may be, still in my time of need.
To lay down low beyond the morning sky,
and wilt into the break of day, to live I will defy.

Our Affinity
When the coast was clear,
we'd jump the rooftops.
Drive for hours to forget the world,
lay next to you, to still be so distant.
The city at night looks endless,
the contrast of a real purpose and an urgent adolescence.
On these steps, the world was ours,
bowed my head toward your chest,
how we paid such close regard
to everything but beyond obstruction.
A moment stolen, to paint our picture,
a captured honest and pure affection,
to document the contrast: attraction & connection.
If we're to get beaten by this winter,
if we're to get strangled by regret
don't let our love of life and tension
float on by, a deprived attention.
we'd jump the rooftops.
Drive for hours to forget the world,
lay next to you, to still be so distant.
The city at night looks endless,
the contrast of a real purpose and an urgent adolescence.
On these steps, the world was ours,
bowed my head toward your chest,
how we paid such close regard
to everything but beyond obstruction.
A moment stolen, to paint our picture,
a captured honest and pure affection,
to document the contrast: attraction & connection.
If we're to get beaten by this winter,
if we're to get strangled by regret
don't let our love of life and tension
float on by, a deprived attention.
